The vision for this book began the night that Artemis III drifted around the moon and named the largest crater on the dark side after one of the other astronauts' deceased wife.  I got the idea for a Girl who lived on that Crater, but had to come to Earth!  This book is the story of that trip and what happened to Carol once she got here!

When does this book take place?

Just a few years into the future, in 2032. Carol turned 16 years old. Her parents were living and working on the moon for The Company when she was conceived, so she is now the company's property. Carol becomes what The Company calls an asset.  She has prescribed roles that she cannot deviate from.  She is not supposed to develop 'extreme' feelings for anyone--remaining genial to everyone.  But something happens when Niomi pops into her life.  Can she do what The Company dictates and monitors she must do in order to exist as herself?

Why should I invest in your charcters?

Well, this is a get-to-know-you book mainly for Carol, but also for Niomi and Lilith.  I have plans to broaden their world by writing both a prequel about Carol's life on the dark side of the moon and a sequel to delve deeper into Carol and Niomi's lives.

How does Carol get around?

Carol is used to the minimal gravity on the moon.  She is accustomed to having to wear magnetic boots to stay on the ground, but on Earth, the gravity is too much for her.  It makes it impossible for her to support her own weight, so she has the opportunity to use a wheelchair to get around the campus at The Company.
